Yup... As exciting as it is to welcome a new year and leave 2021 behind sometimes we struggle. I have to admit my year didn't go exactly as I planned, there were still a lot of things I wanted to achieve and didn't. 

But guess what...? There was sooo many things I did achieve that I won't let my mind play tricks on me. I have so much to be grateful for and that is what we need to focus on. We can't dwell on the things that did't work out or the things we could't control. We need to celebrate the little victories that we had because I am sure that all together the sum a lot. 

We are so good in just seeing the negative, the bad, the things we didn't learn, the things we didn't do that we just don't see anything else. We need to STOP that. We need to celebrate ourselves, we need to be proud of the things that we did accomplished no matter how little they may seem.

I shared a REEL a couple days ago of a famous actor named Andre de Shields and he said:

" Slowly is the fastest way to get where you want to be; the top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing..."

You have to enjoy your process. Trying to do things too fast often means you waste time going back to correct your mistake. Yes... mistakes are an opportunity to be better and learn but if you work carefully, methodically and plan ahead you won't encounter too many because mistakes in business will cost you money.

With that being said, I hope you can celebrate all those little victories you had this year and take this week to plan all those next moves. Even if that means wearing a beautiful silk strappy pyjama, a statement necklace and some heels for that awesome Netflix night you have prep for yourself on your living room. Be proud of who you are and have an excellent New Year!!! CHEERS!!
